New Yarn - New Pattern Coming Soon!

I put the finishing touches on my newest pattern today! I am so excited! It's a beautiful new yarn that is coming out very soon!

The pattern is a very elegant shawl with a light and lacy beaded border. It is very easy to do - stringing the beads are what takes the most time. It is a wonderful first bead crochet project!

Warm Up America!

We will be collecting hats for Warm Up America during Professional Development Day. Time to get stitching! Please bring what you make to the event. We will also be working on the hats during Professional Development Day with yarn Lion Brand Yarn is donating. The raffle proceeds for the day will also go to Warm Up America.

Busy. Busy. Busy.

I have been very busy making proposals. I also have 2 graduations and a wedding over the next few weeks. My youngest son is graduating college AND getting married. So fun to get all major life events over with in just a few weeks! Soon, my husband and I will truly be empty nesters!

Thankfully, my work load has lessened a bit this month. I was lucky enough to have a 2 week downtime just to make whatever I wanted to make. A little downtime is always a refreshing time for me - I love just picking a stitch and yarn and then deciding what I am going to make. No plotting. No planning. Just playing!

Knit-Around Baby Blanket

Another pattern is out! This baby blanket is the perfect project to learn to knit in the round on dpn's. The yarn is bulky, so it is very easy to keep on the needles! After the first few rows you switch over to a circular needle and off you go! It's a fun project that works up very quickly!
