Last summer my husband and I spent a few days in Boston before the Manchester Chain Link Conference. It is a beautiful city with an amazing history.  We spent days touring places that we had only read about in our history books.  It made American history come to life for both of us and gave us a real appreciation for the freedom that we have.

The people of Boston where friendly and helpful, too. We were laughed at a few times because we had no idea how to purchase Charlie Cards and what they were even for. Turns out they are subway cards and if you want to go anywhere cheaply and quickly, that's the way to go.

We toured where the race takes place and could hear the pride in the tour guides voice as he spoke of the Boston Marathon. It is an event that the city holds dear.

My heart is sad for those who were victims of the bombings. Such a tragic occurrence that is becoming all to common in this day and age. You are in my prayers.

Nahum 1:7 The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.
