The Age of Brass and Steam Kerchief

No automatic alt text available.

This was a quick and fun knit! Even a newer knitter can easily make this kerchief. It's a great way to use any hand dyed yarn that is small on yardage. I used a pretty skein of hand dyed bamboo that  I had in my stash to make mine. It is easily worn as a cowl, if you use a pretty clap. You can find the free pattern on Raverly.
It's the perfect post holiday self indulgence!

Light At The End Of The Tunnel Afghan

This afghan is a gift for my little brother. I love that it looks like a quilt but is really crochet. The color scheme is very simple -- white. light gray, dark gray and then black. It creates an almost gradient transition. I needed one even lighter shade of gray to make it completely gradient but was unable to find that exact shade. I still love how it turned out! It's a modern color palette with a country feel. I think he'll appreciate that!
